A question about Sleep Paralysis? |
I think I am suffering from sleep paralysis. The other day I was sleeping on the couch when I thought I woke up hearing foot steps on the floor above me. I tried to call out but I could not speak or move. I physically woke up when I realized I live in a ranch house and there is no floor above me. Is it common with sleep paralysis to hear noises as well? It sounds like you had a hypnogogic hallucination. These are hallucinations that occur when one is either falling, or waking from a deep sleep. Dont worry - a fair few people experience them on occassion... What is sleep paralysis? |
