Could i of had sleep paralysis? |
what is sleep paralysis? because last night i was asleep but i seemed to wake up when i breathed in i felt a painful jolt and i couldn't move any part of my body. it was really weird because i wanted to shout my mum for help but i couldn't and my eyes were shut and i couldn't open them, then about 5-10 seconds after i managed to move but i just fell back to sleep again and forgot about it. it wasn't till this morning when i remembered what had happened and i was just wondering was this sleep paralysis? has anyone had sleep paralysis before? Personally, I've never had sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis is a very scary thing, especially when you can not move or yell out for some one to come to your aid. I have experienced the same thing as you and it was the most frightening thing that had ever happened in my life. I to, have woken in the middle of the night with the paralysing effect. I was all alone and did not have anyone there to call to, even if I could. I laid in my bed, on my back, and all I could do was wait it out. It wasn't until the wee hours of the morning , that I could once again feel my body. It was a terrifying ordeal to go through. When talking to my doctor, it was indeed a form of paralysis-sleep paralysis. with time, and as I grew older, I did not experience the sleep paralysis any more. I sincerely hope that in time, you will grow out of it!! Good Luck!! |
