Sleep paralysis is exhausting. How do I deal with it?

For those of you who are not familiar with sleep paralysis:

a condition in which the victim's brain is fully concious but his body is unconcious. this means that the victim is able to receive and recognize stimuli from his surroundings (see and hear) but is unable to respond to these stimuli or move any portions of his body. the victim is unable to control when this phenomenon occurs. Basically my mind wakes up before my body does.
Now this condition is considered completely normal and is expected to happen to most people at least once in their lifetime. i, however, experience this very often and it is starting to exhaust me physically and mentally because it is like being awake all night without any possability of sleep. Does anyone have any suggestions?

by the way, I do NOT need sleeping pills. this has nothing to do with being uable to fall asleep.

Although there are no absolute cures for sleep paralysis there are things that we can do to try to limit the episodes. Although this condition can be very stressful it is not harmful to the sufferer.
1. Drink decaffeinated tea
2. Cut down on coffee or drink decaffeinated coffee
3. Limit alcohol intake, especially late in the evening
4. Have a relaxing bath before bed
5. Learn meditation
6. Try to find ways of cutting work related stress
7. Take a relaxing walk in the evening
8. Try to keep to regular sleeping routine.

I am not aware of this condition - but i feel for you

I am having sleep problems of my own - and I know how it makes you feel

I am a person who likes to be and feel in control - And I'm just NOT in control of it yet - its like IT controls ME and I hate it!

They say that knowledge is power....so if we do research to find out how to tackle our problem and come out on top I'm sure it will make ourlives MUCH easier!

well...goodnight!...I haven't slept for 16 hours so i bettter try and catch up on some bl**dy sleep! lol
