Regular sleep paralysis? |
I have been reading through websites and resolved questions on here about sleep paralysis, it seems most people who answered only experience this sensation a few times, or once in a while. Also, I always feel as if I never get any sleep. Even after a full 8 hours, I feel like I just barely closed my eyes when the ol' alarm goes off. I too suffer from regular sleep paralysis and have been reading up on the subject. Apparently 60% of people who have this expierence tend to have it happen while sleeping on their back. I dont fall asleep on my back but when i have an attack i always wake up lying on my back and cannot move or scream. So one of the treatments i have read up on is changing your sleep postion, which sounds easy but is fairly difficult. I suggest that you attempt to sleep on your side. When you are falling asleep at night get into position on your side and put a pillo by your back so you will have a harder time rolling on your back. It won't cure it but it will help it happen less. Also, when you are in a state of sleep paralysis you are more like to be able to achieve a state of out of body experience. This can help because while it does not remove the sleep paralysis it removes the feeling of it. Next time it happens try to will your self to roll out of bed. Don't struggle with the paralysis as it makes it worse. You may have an out of body experience while doing this, which in itself can be scary. However, if it happens and make you afraid its more likely that your body will pull you back to itself quickly breaking the sleep paralysis. I hope this helps you a little, because I too know whats its like to be petrified of falling asleep. If any of this helps you contact me and maybe together we can find a way to make it stop altogether. ur mind is consious while u r sleeping!!! in think this the main cause. it looks like that u r not going through a sound sleep. first of all before sleeping take off all the negative thoughts from ur mind and try to be calm. i hope this could help u!!!!take care |
