Its abt paralysis attack to my grand ma plz help?

hello my grand ma got struck by paralysis for more that 8yrs
i am from india can any one tell is there any cure for it available elsewhere.(her right side is paralyzed)

Considering her age and the fact that she is paralysed on the right side (right hemiplegia) she probably had a stroke. This is caused by a bleed or clot in the brain affecting the part of the brain that controls her right hand and leg. As it has been there for 8 years now it would be difficult to correct the effects.

There is useful advice on this link about what can be done towards the bottom of the page
http://www.stroke.org.uk/information/whe...

Few days/weeks after a stroke, physiotherapy is important to maintain some suppleness in the limbs and joints so that they are more flexible later. I do not know whether your grand mum had this. She needs to be assessed by a physiotherapist and an occupation therapist to teach you and her exercises she can do to help her limbs and gadgets she can employ to make doing everyday things easier. She also needs a good assessment by a doctor as quite often whatever caused the stroke can recur and you want to prevent it happening again. This is because when you have a stroke you have a 50% chance for survival.

All the best.
