Sleep paralysis with convulsions?

I've had sleep paralysis for years, since I was a little kid. It's a sleeping disorder in which upon falling asleep or waking up, you become paralyzed from the head down. Hallucinations are supposed to be normal also. My question is for months I've been convulsing during the spells. Is that normal? Does anyone know? I've been to the doctor several times and they have no idea what could possibly be wrong with me. You'd think someone who has had it as long as me might have a clue but I'm clueless. Help.

you may be starting to have seizures there are several test to see if this could be the problem you need to see a neurologist good luck

I have Narcolepsy with sleep paralysis...some hallucinations. I've never had convultions, though. Sounds like you need to see a neurologist.

have you absolutely confirmed that you are having convulsions? Because I have sleep paralysis and sometimes it feels as if I am having convulsions also but I think its a hallucination.

It can happen. I can't believe your doctor didn't know. I'm sorry. The convulsions is a type of narcolepsy. Go to this site it might be helpful. http://www.sleepdisordersguide.com. I hope this helps. Take care
