I Have Sleep Paralysis.? |
Is there anything I can do to prevent it from happening to me...i hate it. its scary and i read that you can suffocate and die from it. it happens to me every night now i use to get it every once in a while but for the past weeks its happening over and over they call it the witch riding your back here in the united states but i dont ever sleep on my back thats the weird thing about it im only 15 years old. If you read the link you referenced, you would know that you can't suffocate and die from it. It's benign and the ways of coping cited in that same reference, especially relaxing, help you deal with it. If you're not afraid of it, it's not a problem. Well first off it is very commen...Secondly no you can not die from it. Your body is still just sleeping while your mind is awake...it is awfully scary but it is not dangerous and nothing to worry about excessively it will go away eventually and if it doesn't then you just have to deal with it. i had it since i was 12 i find myself unable to move but i see things that r not really there i always see some old lady standing by my door but i cant scream 4 help so i just pray but it doesnt work so i just try to wiggle a little to kick out of it just 2 weeks ago i had it again i was on my stomach and some zombie looking thing grabbed me from my shoulders and started screaming gibberish into my ears i almost shytted my pants so the best way to deal with it and this works is keep the light on dont turn it off or i just noticed that only happens on the pm hours |
