Daily Sleep Paralysis Problems?

Wake up from a lucid dream then sleep paralysis every night, help.

I wake up while dreaming in a lucid state then I fully wake up unable to move my body. I'm 17 and it scares me alot. Tonight I got an hour of sleep. I sleep on a couch every night that kind of sinks in. I noticed it happened alot when I used to smoke pot back in 11th grade but I never got scared because I always forgot it happened and moved on. But I haven't smoked since and it's returning 2 times worse.

Does anyone have any tips to prevent lucid dreams, False Awakenings, and Sleep Paralysis Problems?

Ok I am 22 and I have suffered from sleep paralysis for 8 years first its normal just some experience it more than others. When I was young I would wake up at around 2 am every morning and I would be completely unable to move or talk I felt vibrations all over my body kind of like the feeling of your foot falling asleep and I would be so scared that It was a ghost or something possessing me that I would actually start to hallucinate. When I finally did get some info on it I wasn't as scared because I learned it was normal and everything was gonna be ok, now I barely ever have one and when I do I just relax close my eyes and count lol believe it on not I always end up falling back asleep within seconds. A few tings I know about sleep paralysis.
1. Your sleeping on the couch so I automatically assume your sleeping on you back. Sleeping in this position is known to increase your chances to experience sleep paralysis. Maybe try to sleep on you side.
2. Puberty most people that experience it the most are in their teens.
4. Sudden life changes, You mentioned that you stopped smoking pot thats a big life change and can be hard if you were doing it regularly. (when I started having mine I had started living with my aunt to go to a different school.)
3. Coming out of a lucid dream. You already said It always happens after a lucid dream so my advice to you is to start enjoying your lucid dreams might sound crazy but lucid dreams are known to help with nightmares and can be very enjoyable I induce lucid dreams for the fun of it and you wouldn't believe how many people would love to be able to lucid dream without having to induce it.
So please look up the sites I listed and read up on this I hope it will help you.

Sleep paralysis can be caused by stress.. maybe you should take up yoga or meditation, or go talk to a counselor even if you don't think you really need it.

Maybe your pot was laced with LSD, which has after effects even years later. You might have to see a doctor.

There isn't a whole lot you can do about it without a doctor. The body can release chemicals into the body during sleep to prevent the mind from hurting the body during sleep/dreaming, it sounds to me like the gland in your head doesn't get the information that your awake until the "2 min"(time slows down in the brain when adrenaline is pumped into your blood stream) is up. I would be willing to bet its not 2 min. There is also the possibility that your body isn't actually awake and you just have a fear of that happening because it happened to you with the Previously smoked drug. So its either a fear of yours thats being manifested in your dreams or your brain is actually overproducing chemicals.

it is part of the parasomnias, first you should pay a visit to a psychiatrist, then an examination with good history is done, then an EEG is crucial at night times.
anti depressants might be of help in your case like ludiomil 25mg. at night time or other newer generations of the SSRI like Zoloft.
a sleep research centre is very good in your condition , if available in your area.

Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon as fascinating as the brain itself and it manifests due to stress coupled with sleep deprivation. Normal brain function is compromised and the paralysis serves to alarm us of this. And because it serves us, it's actually a survival mechanism! During the normal sleep cycle, our subconscious is busy processing our memories & feelings, a process that's vital to our well-being. The paralysis occurs as we're falling asleep or waking because the subconscious is near the surface but we're still able to consciously know that something bizarre is happening...something we've brought on ourselves! Nothing paranormal here,
Am I right in assuming you're either stressed, sleep deprived or both? There's really nothing to fear..Relax and trust that, you're okay. A few nights of deep sleep should help.
Thanks for asking this question. I hope I've helped and hope you'll let me know. Leigh
