PLEASE help.....Panic disorder? |
I am almost possitive i am suffering from a panic disorder, and have been for years. I am slowly learning to manage my frequent panic attacks. But one of my only problems is this CONSTANT out-of-body feeling. Like i don't know who i am, it's almost like i'm in a dream. I know that sounds so crazy, but it is consuming my life! I feel like i'm watching one of those movies that are filmed from someone else's view. Like i look down and see my hands and feet and everything, but it's like it's not even me. I think i may be going crazy here! I can't tell anyone this because they think i should be rushed to the hospital. But is this a symptom of panic disorder? If so what on earth can i do to make it better? I can't live like this! I have cut out caffiene (Spelling), sodas i ONLY drink water. Can food trigger it? I just want it to go away so i can live a normal life and not get terrified that i'm passing out and going crazy. I'm willing to do anything to help myself get back to normal! Have you asked to be medicated? There are some meds that will help for short term and long term. Meds to help you manage Panic for the long term take a few weeks to start working. Because of that, doctors normally give you something that will calm you down when you are about to have an attack. It should be only used when you have an attack. Remember, the meds do not cure it, it helps you manage it. So you can go to therapy and or help yourself. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/The...
