Could I have panic disorder? |
I have some specific phobias but every so often I have an attack where I can't breathe, I get really dizzy, and my hands and feet go numb and all these symptoms cause me to worry. I am usually not worrying when these symptoms start. When doing research I have found that many of my symptoms match those of a panic attack. The only problem is, many sites say panis attacks peak in 10 mintues and go away after about 30, but mine have all last 3 to 6 HOURS. No site has said they could last nearly as long and I would really like to know what's going on with me. I have been going to therapy for the phobias and my other anxieties are nearly gone, but these "attacks" continue to persist. Is this still panic disorder or could I have a physical illness or any thoughts? I used to have panic disorder. I have never heard of anyone having panic attacks for that long. You should probably consult your family doctor about this. They'll be able to run tests to make sure that it is panic disorder and not something else. sounds like a mood disorder. |
