I was looking for advice or support.?

My boyfriend's stepfather has been diagnosed with type 4 pancreatic cancer. He had many complications after the surgery but he's home now and finally eating again! He's also starting chemo soon.
We're all routing for him and love him. I was thinking... if there's someone out there who has been through the same thing and could give advice on how to get through all the emotions he's probably going though and on how to overcome and not give in, maybe contact with another who's been through it and is fighting it would boost his spirits and let him know that he's not alone in this disease. And possibly give him the strength he needs to fight this.
Please contact me at Kelly1982Ann@Yahoo.com...I'm trying to help in any little way I can.

you can help yourself -buy "an artist way "by julia cameron and step thru the exercises with your boyfriend....this will help you both in being extra caring towards him... introduce him to xooma - www.xoomaworldwide.com/energise..I have heard people with cancer have overcome the illness with this product

you know, it already sounds like you are on the right track here to me. i have a good friend at work who is on chemo now. we just make a point to tell her that she looks really great and say encouraging things. and on the days that she is feeling down there is always someone there to give her a hug.
the only trouble she has really had was an upset stomach after she started her treatments and even though you didn't specifically mention this i thought i might let you know. she was having trouble eating due to the upset stomach and she couldn't afford to lose any more weight than she had already! so i told her she should buy some ginger root (which you can get at the produce dept. of your local grocery store) and brew it along with tea. it really helped her nasuea and she is now eating much better! good luck and our prayers will be with you guys through this difficult time.

actually, i dont really understand and interested in pancreatic cancer.. but, i ever read that the first medicine for any illness is happiness.. so, dont let him stressed or something like that, it will make the function of chemo goes slower.. good luck ^^
