Tell me about pancreatic cancer, what it does and how it progresses.? |
My husband was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He is 67 and taking Lortab for pain. He does not want treatment if it is only going to extend his life by a few months. He hasn't much appetite, so I'm concerned about his nutrition. He is 6'2" and weighs 160 lbs. If he turns completely away from any treatment other than eating, resting, taking medication that the Dr. prescribes, etc. what can I do to make his life as comfortable as possible? He does not want to be hospitilized. Also, what can I do so I don"t break down. I'm a fairly grounded person for 50 and in good shape physically and mentally. I just don't want to lose it around him. The last thing is what plans do we need to make? Besides the bank, who doeshe ned to contact? What does he need to do? I'll be doing the leg work for him. I know he doesn't want surgery but if it will extend his life for probably a lot longer here is a site of an alternative treatment that has worked well for one patient after 34 months.
