I just read that Patrick Swayze has pancreatic cancer--is that a death sentence?

I know that some types of cancer are more treatable than others...

only God knows
depends on how soon they found it
very hard to cure there

Probably. It's one of the deadliest types.

Well his has spread to other parts of his body, so he is pretty much a goner. Too bad though. He's one of the good guys of hollywood.

yes

yes...who knows how long it will take, but...it's not looking good

It's usually fatal
survival rate is poor

Yes, it is. I know they caught it early but it is simply a matter of time. There is no cure for it.

I believe it is one of the worse cancer to have, its not so much that some are more treatable-as they are all treatable -its just that some have a highrer survival rate
Michael Landon had pancreatic cancer :(

I just heard about it about 30 min. ago.... very sad, but it is a very bad kind one to have. My husband says "he's a goner". It is very far along when found usually, we can only pray he is going to give good fight. Don't forget David and Goliath.

Yes. Pancreatic Cancer is BAD. VERY BAD. Like usually only a couple of months to live after diagnosis. So Sad.

The article I read said that he does in fact have pancreatic cancer, however, it says this:

According to the statement, Swayze's physician Dr. George Fisher said, "Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic."

Everyone has their own version.. only time will tell and only God knows.

:
he should be OK ;
even thought some reports said he only has 5 weeks to live.
but that may not be true.

any way life is a death sentence
life is nothing more than a:
sexually transmitted incurable disease.

we will all die some day. maybe tomorrow it will be my turn.
so i will make sure every day a good day.
carpe diem veni vidi vici

I think it might be unfortunately for him and his family. It's unfair how a nice guy like him can get such a horrible disease at a relitively young age, while warmongering village idiots like George W. Bush have perfect health.

I don't know how serious it is, but i did read his doctor said his response to treatment is good i'm glad to hear...
Poor guy, he really is a lovely family man and great actor.
Hope and pray he will come through this.
