Does Diet Pop cause Pancreatic Cancer (cancer of the pancreas)?

There is no documented scientific evidence that diet pop causes pancreatic or any other cancer.

no

No

I sure hope not! I'm on my second one of the day, and I'll most likely drink two more!

If you don't want pancreatic cancer, stop smoking. Don't worry about the soda.

I wouldn't think that would cause cancer. I would just watch how much you drink it daily. If its more than 6 I would recommend cutting back, all of that isn't good for your body anyhow.

Pancreatic cancer is linked to smoking and exposure to specific chemicals. Diet or nondiet pop, though, is definitely harmful to your kidneys. (Like you didn't know that already!)

No, there is no *documented* connection between Diet soda, regular soda, or cherry soda for that matter; and Pancreatic cancer.

In addition to the observations above, there is some evidence that excessive nitrates (found in red meat) may also contribute to pancreatic cancer as well. Does that mean to stop eating red meat? No, of course not. Just keep everything in moderation.

As a side note, while Soda has gone for along time without any real attention, researchers have found in some EARLY studies that carbonated drinks MAY lead to changes in the mitochondrial DNA of certain brain cells that could be a major contributor to Alzheimers Disease. Again, thats just preliminary information.
