Can you get addicted to painkillers? Like, not prescription, but over the counter painkillers like ibeuprofin and stuff... Yes you can get addicted, although less likely than prescription ones, but you still can. Also, you can overdose on them too. Seek help if you are abusing them. yes you can get addicted to it. you are or anyone you know is get help. Yes, you can. If you take too much of it, or just take it just because it can become very addicting. So be careful. |

Go to an Urgent Care center (more cost effective than ER) and see a doctor. You should no longer be cramping and never should the pain be so bad that you're having break through on pain kille... If you are having them daily, then there has to be something more the Neurologist can do for prevention. Or perhaps, as mentioned, you haven't gotten to the cause yet! I have cluster migrain... Are you nuts!!!There are little kid on this site,dont talk about DRUGS! ...well that depends on the kind of that pain killer, well if you meant something like paracetamol or asperin those stop the pain through inhibiting some enzymes responsible for inflammation(that has ... when you say painkillers, im guessing that you mean opiates, and they are addicting because they block dopamine receptors from reuptaking dopamine in the brain, causing for there to be more dopamin... if it was a problem from the medication you dr would have more than likely knew about it. but some drs do make mistakes. but it sounds like a panic attack. ...Get your wife to a pain clinic-- preferrably one where the pain management doc is a neurologist. I promise that they will work with your wifde and find the medications that work best for her pain, ... any painkillers should not have a negative affect on your pill, if you are in pain you need to take them. I've never been told by a doctor that pain killers have that effect on your pill. but ... |
