Painkillers after Surgery? |
I'm going in for a surgery. After the surgery I will have pain. However, I'm allergic to Aspirin, Codine, Ibuprofen. I'm not savvy in the Pharmaceuticals department. Are there any painkillers that do not contain Aspirin etc.? What are some substitutes? Low dose in those Pharmaceuticals can kill me. Are you nuts!!!There are little kid on this site,dont talk about DRUGS! you`re best plan of action is to ask at the hospital after telling them about the rest of the painkillers it is no use asking on here because nobody should tell you what drugs to take in case of a reaction which could be fatal,only the hospital can tell you which painkiller to take for your own safety ask at the hospital Tylenol I believe is the safest and least SE. But it depends how bad the pain is. If it's severe, it has to be a prescribed med from your doctor. |

well that depends on the kind of that pain killer, well if you meant something like paracetamol or asperin those stop the pain through inhibiting some enzymes responsible for inflammation(that has ... when you say painkillers, im guessing that you mean opiates, and they are addicting because they block dopamine receptors from reuptaking dopamine in the brain, causing for there to be more dopamin... if it was a problem from the medication you dr would have more than likely knew about it. but some drs do make mistakes. but it sounds like a panic attack. ...Get your wife to a pain clinic-- preferrably one where the pain management doc is a neurologist. I promise that they will work with your wifde and find the medications that work best for her pain, ... any painkillers should not have a negative affect on your pill, if you are in pain you need to take them.
