Can painkillers be given to lactating mothers? Does it affect the baby?

yes, only tylenol. anything that you put in your body is gonna affect the baby. it is like you are just feeding the baby straight with what goes in. you dont want to take n e thing strong to get the baby sick. if you can't deal with the pain, take a few days off. pump, and go to the dr. but when you pump, do it b 4 you take a stronger pain rx
