Is taking too much painkillers bad for me?....?

doctors say my bones are growing to fast and my body aches alot at night
i take ponstant before but now im taking arcoxia which is more stronger
im getting kinda scared about my health because i take one every night. i cant help it because its too painful.
ive been taking painkillers everyday for the past 2 years
i know its really bad, but any advice would be helpful?
im only 15.

I honestly think the best thing would be to speak to your GP. If you've been taking them for two years but are still able to manage on only one a day, addiction isnt a problem at the moment, and Once you stop growing the pain should settle some. I imagine a certain degree of the pain is joint related, so something like Glucosamine with Chondroitin (OsteoEze) can help. Just make sure your GP knows your concerns and you have regular checkups to keep the pain under control.

sounds like your addicted .i think you should try to tuff it up and stop taking the pills unless your in dire pain. not just achey.

Do what the doc tells u to do. its not bad but if u abuse them it is. stay stroung sweetie.

What type of doctor would put a child your age on painkillers for 2 years? I would definately tell your parents what you are concerned about and let them help you figure out what is the best course of action to take.

GET OFF IT!

Arcoxia, Vioxx and another pain reliever, Celebrex, are three different "COX-2 inhibitors." Their selling point has been a lower risk of bleeding stomach ulcers and other serious digestive tract complications than othernon-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or NSAIDs, such as ibuprofen and naproxen.

Trials have compared Arcoxia with naproxen ( Naproxen is Aleve ) and found a 60% to 70% higher risk of cardiovascular events in patients on Arcoxia.

Curt Furberg, a Wake Forest University medical epidemiologist who sits on the FDA's Drug Safety and Risk Management Advisory Committee, says Arcoxia should not only be kept out of the USA, but also should be withdrawn in all 63 countries in which it's sold. "If it's harmful here," he says, "it's harmful elsewhere."

if its a narcotic you probably already have a physical addiction talk with your dr. but be careful

Painkillers can cause kidney damage so you are better off without them.
