How long can painkillers stay in your system?

I hurt my shoulder about 10 days ago and my ma gave me something called a darvocet, then we went to the doc and he gave me something else. But i have a job drug test soon. I just wanted to know how long darvocets can stay in your system or if most drug tests even pick up painkillers? I'm not worried about my medicine because i have a prescription, but not one for my moms darvocets. anyone know?

Most drugs are in your system for about a week. ONe darvocet is probably going to be hard to pick up especially if there are other prescription drugs in your system. I think you will be fine just tell them straight up about the injury and the docotrs presription so they know you are not hiding anything.

Your mom should not have given you darvocet, with out knowing what effect they could have on you. I wouldn't worry to much about the drug test. They will know what drugs are in your system and they can tell whether they are legal or illegal. And if they do have any questions the clinic thatis doing the tests will call you or your physican.

Drug tests don't pick up painkillers they pick up actual drugs (cocain, heroin, pot)
