Strong painkillers? |
my head is pounding had a head ache all day what is the strongest painkiller you can buy without a prescription. (uk only) i have just taken 2 anadin extras and 1 nurofen seems to be shifting it all ready i know i probably shouldnt have taken 2 different types at once but when your in this much pain i personally would take anything so thanks for all the advice im off to bed now. Codine is a very good Painkiller, and you only take 1 at time! It is availble at pharmacys. However could it be a migraine? if so, Migraleave should help. Monitor your headache(s) if they are very persistant and cause great pain, see your doc, it could many things, but dont panic! Migraines can last several days, so if bareable leave it 3 days, if its still there, do not hesitate to see your GP! Co-Codamol are good. panadol i think Any thing that contains codeine should help you Try Nurophen Plus i know that the packet says take two but when i have got a bad headache i take three best thing to do is speak to the pharmacist/chemist and they will advise you on what's best. hope it vanishes soon. Paramol. Come in a black box ~ are really good! Try giving yourself a head massage. Posting questions and looking at your screen will not help. Drink water and close your eyes. (From a nurse) Try taking Paracodal or any alternative with Codeine and Paracetamol, and a hot cup of Tea (if you like tea). I am the queen of headaches as I usually get at least one a week. I find co-codamol makes me sick. I have tried everything and the only thing that takes the edge of mine are Nurofen Liquid Capsules, they work really fast too. Sometimes I take three if its really bad, but you need to be wary just incase your body can't deal with three. (I'm a hardened pankiller taker)! Also try Migralieve. Pink and yellow tablets, they are usually quite good. Hope you shift it! Stongest Painkiller is Paramol. But I would try Syndol which is particularly for tension headache... Non-prescription pain killers are just starch and have very little chemicals in them. They work on the placebo effect. HI, They gave my Mom vicodin for her very bad headaches but it has to be prescribed here in the US. Try using Excedrin for Migraines, it's OTC! GOOD LUCK! extra strength excedrin is what we used for people with a history of migraines at the nursing home where i work stongest is ibuprofen 400mg three times a day..this can be combined with co-codamol 8/500 ..2 tabs 4 times a day neurofen plus is very good or solpadeine. co codomol you can get them from asda they are great for all pain hope this helps. |
