PMS Pains! Anyone have a Natural Home Remedy, without the use of Painkillers?


I have such horrible period pains.

I have gone to doctors and there is nothing medically wrong with me.

Even after having a baby it's still so bad.

I can't go on birth control because the hormones make me nutty.

and i don't want to take crazy painkillers that zonk me out because i have a baby to take care of.

So far i take either advil or midol.

Any other suggestions or advise would really be appreciated.

Have u tried using a heating pad yet? The high heat should help relax the muscles.

For muscle aches or cramps, I use a heating pad. Lay with that for awhile and everything calms down.

use a heating pad or a warm water bottle on your stomach. this helps with the cramps. hope you feel better!

drink lemon tea. it warms your stomach up and stops the pain

use a heating pad on your lower abdomen

First of all, find another doctor.
Pain like this is moct likely endometriosis, PCOS or both.
It's NOT normal, so if your doctor says it is - you need a new doctor.
Do some research on Meclomen, it's an NSAID like Advil or Aleve but works in an extra way, it reduces your flow - less flow means less pain if it's endo. It's not habit forming and doesn't make you drowsy or anything.
How many BCP's have you tried? They're not all the same. Yaz made me nearly kill myself, but I never had any problems with Ortho Cyclen in the 3 years I took it. I'm on Seasonique right now, for about 3 weeks and I don't think I'm noticed any side effects yet. I don't find them very effective at stopping pain, but the doctor insists I take them so there's not much I can do.
Seriously, find a doctor that specializes in reproductive endocrinology. You'll find MUCH different responses to your problems

You could use a heating pad on your stomach. That usually helps some. But you also may want to try drinking some hot lemon tea, and taking a nice hot bath. The tea relaxes you, and the bath, relaxed the muscels. I do this all the time and it makes me feel much better.

GET AN EMPTY BOTTLE, soda bottle, juice, any kinda bottle and fill it up with warm water and put it on your lower belly- warm baths work to- this all helps relax your body. I know it sounds lame but it works really well if you don't have a heating pad. And drinking lots of water minimizes it.
also if you have a few extra bucks they have disposable heating pad type things that go on your belly. but a warm water bottle is the cheapest and safest.
