Is there a way to relive soreness from spacers besides rinsing with warm salt water or taking pain relievers?

I have spacers on and my teeth hurt severly . I have taken pain relievers and rinsed and gargled with warm salt water. That didnt help AT ALL. I am in pain. Please help.

theres nothing you can do except take the pain relievers. sorry-your just going to have to tough it out.

I had spacers too, I know they are not fun! I liked to eat smoothies because their cold and it kind of numbed the pain away!

Aww im sooo sorry i remember when i had to deal with that. It sucked big time. Hmmm just keep taking tylenol and son't bite anything ohh and eat lots of soup. Trust me the pain is worth it :).

First of all, the saline solution (salt and water) is not to relieve pain, it's to prevent inflammation and infection. What pain relievers are you taking and are you taking them before you start to feel pain? Ibuprofen (advil, motrin) is very effective for preventing and relieving pain but you have to take them as indicated. Don't wait for the pain to start. It will only delay the relief you're seeking. You know you're going to feel pain for awhile until your teeth can adjust to the spacers so take them in prevention. Unfortunately, there are no natural alternatives for that kind of pain.
Good luck and keep in mind that it will eventually past (until your next appointment)

apply pressure and use orajel (it will numb ur gums) it helps a lot.
