Pain relievers and alcohol?

so basically it is. I had pancreatitis about a little over a month ago due to a virus that attacked my pancreas. I have been put on pain relievers and I also drink. Ive seen things that say thats not the brightest thing to do. They show three or more are bad. But what if its just the daily drink? Will that still do the same amount of damage as the chronic drinker?

Yes.

your worrying is going to do more damage than drinking. Have no pain pills but one beer. But eat a good meal with that beer.

I've been told by a GP that your kidneys really take a beating when you drink any more than a standard drink a day and take pain killers, it's possible to lose some kidney function.
No kidneys = no drinking! That's not cool.

I had a great aunt who died at 46 because she mixed them. It doesn't matter how much of anything because different amounts affect people differently.

Don't mix them at all and you won't have to worry about it. Drink alot of water with the pain killers to help flush things through your system and continue the water later to keep things from building up in your system. It will help to keep the liver, kidneys and bladder cleaner, too, where alcohol will definitely mess up the liver.
