Mixture of pain relievers.?

I have such pain that I mix pain killers with alchohol for better effect. Perhaps cannabis may be better. Taken orally, like in cake , I've heard is good. Any thoughts.

Im sorry your having such awful pain.
BUT mixing pain meds with alcohol can be dangerous.not to mention canabas. Most meds if mixed with Alcohol will make you more drousy and can be quiet dangerous.
espeicaly if you drive or work on machinery.
do be careful.
perhaps you could see a chiro practor assuming you've already seen your dr, you didnt say if you have seen a specialist eg.. rheumatologist or neuro dr.for your pain.?
might be worth a try.
i find heat pads help me mostly.
I hope you see your dr seems to me your pain meds are not sufficient to treat your pain level.

Don't mix painkillers with alcholol - too dodgy. Cannibis is good for pain relief I would say give it a go but don't go overboard, just enough to take the edge off. Keep well.

You are killing yourself!
Please do not mix pain meds and alchohol.
It may make them feel as if they are working so much better, but are not.
You are poisoning yourself and your liver.
See you Doctor to adjust your meds and tell them it is not elleviating your pain. You may be able to get a higher dose of what you are already on.
Cannabis does work very well but is illegal. I have a lot of friends who smoke it for relief.
I am a chronic pain survivor who was on massive, deadly doses of Morphine so know what you are going through. But it is concerning me about your deadly mix.

The problem is that alcohol enhances the affect of the other drugs but one can't quantify it so you don't know how much you end up taking and it could be lethal. Painkillers and alcohol both have an undesirable effect on the liver.
Cannabis has an ant-emetic effect and if you drink enough to get alcohol poisoning you won't naturally spew and will just lapse into a coma.

Don't mix pain killers with alcohol and don't use cannabis at all. It increases your risk of depression and schizo-affective disorders including schizophrenia. In chronic users it will definitely produce cerebral atrophy=brain shrinkage. This produces and accelerates dementia.

Painkillers and alcohol together? Excellent idea.
When your liver functions are crap, as mine are and getting worse due to auto-immune disease, who do you think should be top of the transplant list? You with your self induced liver failure, or me with my auto immune induced liver failure?
Why don't you try to find another way of controlling pain? You don't say where it is, but pain management clinic and/or a tens machine might help.
Instead of wallowing in it, why don't you go see your GP and explain why you need help.

NEVER MIX PILLS, EXPESIALLY WITH ALCOHOL! these pills will almost always react with each other and your body will be in serious harm. Talk to a doctor about what you should take, but never try to mix drugs. Taking cannibus will take away the pain, but dont take a lot or else you wont be able to function

You shouldn't mix painkillers with alcohol especially the strong painkillers as they depress your system, breathing etc as does alcohol. So you could potentially go to sleep and not wake up again :0\ Cannabis can help with pain but don't forget it's illegal and you could end up in trouble! Go back to your Dr and explain that your still in pain he/she should give you something else or refer you to a pain clinic

cannabis is illegal so would never recommend that.

taking pain killers with alcohol also not a good idea.

Go back to your GP and find pain killers (legal) that do control your pain.
You could ask you GP to refer you to the Pain clinic (if in UK)

It kind of sounds like you like the euphoric feeling that you get with your painkillers.... that is why you are mixing them with alcohol!?

I am NOT in ANY way doubting that you are in fact in pain but the MORE pain meds you take, the LESS effective they will be (sounds weird, right.. but TRUE!!). NEVER mix alcohol and narcotics though b/c it is VERY easy to overdose and although that might be one way to "kill" the pain.. it will also KILL you!! So STOP!

As far as smoking pot.. it IS a pretty good pain killer sometimes.. but other times it simply makes the pain WORSE because it makes your senses more "sensiTIVE" so be careful with that too!

Also... I dont know if you know this or not but keep in mind that if your doctor is prescribing you narcotics for pain then he has the right to drug test you at ANY TIME without warning!! Not only will he be checking to make sure that you are not taking anything else that he has NOT prescribed you (like pot or other opiods).. but he will be checking to make sure that you do not have TOO MUCH of the drug that you have been prescribed in your system. They also test to make sure that the drug that they have prescribed you is IN your system to begin with (b/c some people get their prescription and then sell them, not taking them for themselves). They will be able to tell WHAT drugs you are taking, how MUCH you are taking and if you are drinking or smoking! So just BEWARE b/c if you fail one of these drug tests then your doctor has the right to cut you off and not see you without ANY WARNING!!

I hope your pain gets better and that you take our advice and PLEASE stop mixing them w/ alcohol!!

Have you lost your mind? Are you trying to kill yourself? I think psychiatric help is the next order of things. Surely you want better than that for your life! please get the help u need. donalore

Take it all - pot is good - painkillers are good. Alcohol is good.

Are you stupid or something - you should never mix alcohol and pills!!!!!!!!! I thought that was obvious! Is this some kind of cry for help?

Cannabis is an illegal drug so shud not be using that either!!!

EXTREME PAIN = SEE YOUR GP
