I acedently took 3 pain relievers (advill) for burnt skin am i going to be ok and what should i do?

im 13 years old

You mean you took 3 instead of 2? You will be just fine. THere is nothing you need to do. Nothing bad will happen from taking one extra pill. Don't worry yourself hun.

BesT WisheS!

yeah just dont take any more!!!

You will be aok....drink a ton of water and take an bath in cool water with Aveeno.

if you took 3 Advil I am sure you will be just fine
You won't die or have any problems. I take 3 Advil when I have a bad headache.

You will be fine. You took 600mg, this is not an unsafe dose. I wouldn't do this routinely, and you should take them at least 6-8 hours apart.

You should be fine as long as you are not allergic. Try aloe vera next time.

You should be fine. That's 600 mg &800 is the usual prescription strength. You may get pretty sleepy though.

you will be ok,some people take 4 at once. it may upset your stomach a little so eat something small or a glass of milk.

If you feel scared, just drink some water.
Nothing will happen to you.
Trust me; I'm fourteen and I usually take, like, ten ibuprofens at a time. xD

I don't think 3 Advil, even max. strength, would be enough to cause you any serious problems. However, if your burns are 2nd degree or more -- blisters or charred skin would indicate this -- then you probably ought to at least have your school nurse check it out, or tell your parents.

How did you get burned? You are talking about sunburn, right?

If you have any other kind of burn on your skin other than sunburn, you had better get it checked by a parent, other adult, or a doctor. a burn bad enough to require pain relievers needs to be looked at.

You should be okay. In the future, though, don't take medicine without checking with your parents first.

Hey. No problem.. Im a 15 year old girl and I've taken too many pain reliever too... I dont think anything will happen just if you keep doing it over and over it might cause liver damage. For now, its fine. Just be sure that you drink enough (like a couple glasses of water maybe) and I think you should be just fine! And for the burnt skin, try some aloe if you havent! Ouch I know how bad burns can be! I hope I helped and take care!

you should be fine! three advil are like taking one Motrin =or extra strength tylonoyn1 did plenty of fluid, as you do not need to dehydrate from your burn though!

There is no NSAID (including Aspirin, Advil, or Aleve) that will 'stop your burn from hurting' ... and neither will Tylenol (acetominophen) help. If you 'burned yourself' through a 'heat source other than the sun', you should see a doctor and ask him for some 'Silvadene' ... which you can get ONLY by prescription. If your 'burnt skin' is from a sunburn, then take some 'black or orange pekoe' tea bags, get them 'wet' in COLD WATER and rub your 'burn' with that ... the 'tannins' in the tea will help 'kill' the pain ... but you may need to use tea bags every hour for the first day or two to get 'total relief' ...

Try to drink plenty of water, but you should be fine. I wouldn't make a habit of taking too many, but this once shouldn't hurt you. Don't take anything else with it or for the rest of the evening. Did you know that you can use sunscreen AFTER you get a burn? It actually helps take the burn out. There are also some Aloe Vera gels that contain a pain reliever (solarcaine or something) When I was a kid in the 50's they didn't have any of that stuff and we used VINEGAR, belleive it or not. It seems like it would burn but it doesn't! It feels really good and usually turns into a tan by the next day. (you do smell like a salad for the night, though, LOL) Try to limit your exposure, next time, you DO NOT want to get a sunstroke or more burn.

yeah sorry to tell you but your going to die....tell everyone you love them. then tuck your head between your knees and kiss your balls goodbye

You'll be fine. 3 won't hurt you.

don't worry you'll be fine. just drink a lot of liquids to wash it out. however if you feel something is not right, like you have bad stomach cramps, then go see a doctor. I once ate twice the dosage of gastric medicine and I'm still alive.
