Back/chest pain?

For the past 11 days, I've had pain in my back (sharp pain below my left should blade) and in my chest (below my left breast). The pain in my back is a mild stabbing pain, and the pain in my chest is a mild deep crushing-like pain that hurts mainly when I take a deep breath. The back pain is more constant but also worsens when I take a deep breath.

Any ideas what it could be?

Man, sounds rough,
I wouldn't mess around with it in that location, mild heart problems radiate through the left side of the body both in the chest and in the back. It may not be serious as this but don't mess around with this area. See a doctor about the problem. It could be a pulled muscle in that area or even heartburn which can cause symptoms of a heart attack if the acid is bad enough, as well, but when the pain radiates like yours is doing, from the back to the front, you need to get it checked out. You can go to the following web-page and do an on-line checkup but I would take the information with great assault though, meaning it doesn't replace a doctor:

You need consultation and xray among other investigations. It could be pleurisy (inflammation of the pleura or the lining of the lungs).
Good luck!

I agree - discribes how I felt with pleurisy
