Chest pain normal? |
Occassionally I get really sudden spots of I guess I wouldn't necessarily call them pain but it feels kind of unpleasant in my chest area, usually around my heart area...they always go away after a few minutes and I was just wondering if something like this is normal...I have no other side effects at all unless my anxiety kicks in from time to time if I really start to worry about it. But I'm also thinking that when I get a pain spot on the other side of my chest or even anywhere else on my body it doesnt worry me at all. So Im just wondering if it is at all possible to have a pain in your chest area and it be nothing at all. The importance has everything to do with your age. It could be anxiety, but you should always see a doctor concerning things like this. i used to get SEVERE chest pains. some made me cry. doctor said it could be indigestion. try taking some antacids before you eat spicy food & see if you notice a difference. if it gets to be too much to handle, see a dr. yes, it is possible. pain from an internal organ can cause pain outside the body - called referred pain. that is why heart attacks feel like left shoulder pain. just go in for normal checkups once per year - unless the pain lasts for more than a few minutes and if it becomes severe - obviously call 911. good luck. A pulled muscle can be quite painful in the chest and can hurt spasmotically. If you are lucky it may be that. However pain is the best indicator of a problem with the heart. Go to the doctor get your heart checked. You may not get alot more warnings if it is something serious. Yes. One cause is heartburn which is an intense pain relieved by Alcazeltzer. Could be heart burn but you could go see your doctor to make sure. I couldn't hurt. NEVER take any notice of diagnosis given on here. True the anxiety can cause this and then make it worse. I suspect that it may be something your eating. Try and see if it is happening after you eat certain foods. This can also be one cause. Your age and physical exertion can also be a part of the problem. You can start to watch what you doing and try to see if any of this relates to your pains. anxiety will cause such symptoms, and if the "pain" passes in less than 15 minutes, it is likely anxiety that has caused it. If the pain lasts longer than 15 minutes it is time to see a doctor about it. there is a high probability that your one of the many people who suffer from good old fashion heartburn, caused by spicy foods or very high seasoned foods, if the pain gets severe have your physician check it out, there are over the counter medications as well as doctor prescribed ones that can treat the condition.consult your doctor for further information. you need to go to a doctor straight away, any kind of pain or unpleasant feeling in the chest area is not right. You really really really need to go to a doctor or hospital to get checked out properly panic attacks, anxiety attacks, indigestion, pleuracy, .....and these are all "something". I'm guessing by "nothing", you mean NOT a heart attack. Why worry? Schedule an appointment with your favorite physician and ask him to determine the cause of the pain. He or she may run a series of diagnostic tests to determine whether it is a serious cardiac condition or simply gas. Start the New Year with the benefit of "knowing" what's wrong. It is also a great time to speak with him/her [physician] about weight loss regimens or smoke cessation programs. The professional support may enable you to keep resolutions! Like so many; you fail to state your age. If you're in your 20's, it's probably not serious at all - in fact, it's common. If you're in your 40's-50's it needs to be check by a doc. pain anywhere is not normal and if ya get then anywhere at any time ya should not ignore them and may be just maybe you shouldn't ask this computer to give you the answer you should go see your favorite Doctor. go see your dr just in case but if you are feel like someone is squeezing your chest and it may become some what difficult for you to breathe and pain or numbness down the left arm you need to go to the emergency room asap if not than you may be just having anxiety attacks but either way go to your dr and have this checked it could still be something going wrong with your heart I too occasionally get pain spots on my chest. I think, altho' i don't have any medical proof, that it may be a spasm in the chest muscle. You either have heart problems and it's letting you know that a heart attack might be immanent or, you've got gas. I get pains as well in that same area and everytime I freeze and panic because it is scary. It could be your anxiety or it could be heartburn. I have palpitations with my anxiety but I have had several tests and my everthing is perfect. Do you live a stressful life? Do you need to be incapacitated before you feel concern for yourself? See the sources below: You should see your doctor. Pain in your chest can have many different sources (acid reflux, anxiety, heart disease, etc.). You don't have to be old or have any other symptoms to have heart disease - a guy I work with that is only 33 years old had a heart attack a few weeks ago. Its best to get it checked out and have peace of mind, if nothing is wrong you then have a baseline from which to measure any possible changes that may happen to your health later in life. you should see your doctor..how often do u feel the pain? have plenty of rest..relax!!! i've had pains in lots of different places and it ended up being nothing. But if the pain keeps occuring then you should really getting checked There are a lot of cause of Chest pain. However, We should always exclude and rule out cardiogenic cause (causing from heart) first . You have not mentioned your age which is one important risk factor. there are alot of reasons you could be having chest pain. Alot of time i get chest pains and its because of too much caffeine. try to cut back on it. it could also be arrhythmias. thats when your heart beats irregularly on occasion. I get this too. I've been through a ton of tests and its all pointing to anxiety. you can get this symptom even if nothing is bothering you. Its really annoying, IUf you haven't been evaluated for it by a doc then you should do that just to make sure TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR. GO TO THE Doc!!!! Any kind of chest pain should be seen to by your doctor. He is the best person to advise you. you might not believe it but gas and heart burn is the two common things that cause chest pain, cause if it a pain in the heart then youll know the difference |
