Chest pain, left/right/middle sections, above breast?

I am a 23-year old female. Non-smoker, non-drinker, heavy eater.

Yesterday, I experienced pain in the middle section of my upper abdomen, right below my breasts. After taking an antacid, I was fine.

But when I woke up this morning, I was having chest pains -- in the left, right, and middle sections of my chest, above my breasts, near the armpits. The pain gets more pronounced when taking a deep breath.

I am afraid to go to the ER since I might need a lot of money for all the tests they need to conduct on me, and I don't have it.

Would this be a sign of a heart disease/attack?
I am concerned since both sides of my family have histories of heart attack.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I can ease the pain?
I'm afraid I might not be able to sleep tonight if the pain persists.

Thank you very much and I appreciate any one who could help.

*** UPDATES: I went to my nurse Uncle first.. and he just gave me a paracetamol tablet and the pain was gone. :( I wish there was a way to avoid panic and distinguish from a heart attack and from a chest muscle pain..

Go to the E R ! Most will not turn anyone away for financial reasons. GO NOW

i agree

I know you don't want to hear this, but play it safe, go to the er.

Yes those ARE symptoms of a heart attack, and in women symptoms can vary GREATLY!

Especially with the family history and the heavy eating (which leads to high blood pressure and cholesterol) you are at a significant risk of a heart attack.

One way to see if it's gas:
double up on antacid, take an asprin, and go lay down on either the bed or floor and roll aaround. Try rocking, bouncing your foot up and down, THAT should dislodge gas, IF that's what it is.

If not:
Go take one asprin right NOW, double up on the antacid and get to the er

I just asked my father who has had FOUR documented heart attacks, and he suggests that you go NOW.
DO NOT DRIVE YOURSELF. HAVE SOMEONE ELSE DRIVE YOU OR CALL AN AMBULANCE.
This is NOT something you want to mess around with.
Yeah, it MIGHT be horridly bad gas, but do you REALLY want to take that chance.

All hospitals have money set aside for treating those without insurance. It's federal LAW that they treat you to the full extent of their ability.
They CANNOT reposes your home, car/whatever.
Which is worse:
S#itty credit, or VERY possible death?

PLEASE don't risk it!!!
My father almost DIED because he was hardheaded about the EXACT same thing, so please...
TAKE AN ASPRIN AND GO, NOW.

I'll be praying for you...
