Chest pain..........I'm really scared?

I'm 16 and i have been having chest pains alot this year. But within the last month the pains have been getting worse. Usually the pain happens when i'm just hanging out not doing anything, but i sometimes have it when i'm exercising or just during phisical exertion. The pain is very sharp, and it hurts more when i breathe too deeply or when i exhale too much, so i have to take shallow breaths and i get real panicky. I have mitral valve prolapse and mitral regurgitation. Could that be the cause for the chest pains? if not... What could be wrong? I'm afraid that i'm about to have a heart attack or something.

kdoo please talk to doctor ,because any kind of chest pain is nothing to fool with! if you go now you may be able to prevent something that can get worse as time goes on.please call doctor sweetie!

omigosh that used to happen to me, My mom said that it was just from either:

Not excersizing enough
Not alot of fresh air

hope it goes away 4 u :(

If you already have heart problems then get to the DR. or call them and at least let them kno what is going on. That's about all I can say.

If you are worried i'd go to the doctor and get checked out. it could be something with your heart, not breathing correctly, or just gas.

.Try drinking milk when this happens, if the pain goes away or eases some, you probably have too much acidity in your stomach . In that case, see a doctor anyway, but at least he will have something to start from. As you' ve said, you already have problems in that area, sounds probable that it is part of the problem. I' ve had a similar problem, but I' ve learned to live with it for the past 40 years

omg ~ see your doctor ASAP
if it is happening when you exercise or are stressed it most likely is your heart !!!
Dear, you've got problems already ~ don't wait any longer to see your doctor.

Please tell me that you have been to the Dr. for this! If not, please do! this is something you need to take care of right away!
