Chest pain!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!?

Hello I am a 17 year old guy. I have been having these wierd chest pains for the last 3-4 years. It is like a neddle poke. It usually lasts for a couple seconds. I usually can rub or hit my chest and the pain will go away. The pain usually comes a couple times a week. The area the pain comes in varies. Some times it is on my side. Sometimes its on my sternum. Ans sometimes its by my armpit. I am very confused on what is happening. Please give me your insight. Thanks

I had a EKG last year and it came up fine.

in general these kind of pain if it increase by movement or respiratory movement its muscular originated, so try to rub it with any muscle relaxant ointment.
some times gases which accumulated at the colon cause this kind of sternal sudden sharp pain, so u should check that by an x- ray to ur abdomen in supine and erect position, and if the pain persist from long time ago u should do chest X-ray to check ur chest.
from ur own complain i cant see there any cardiac symptoms if there is no left arm and shoulder numbness and shortness of breath.

They may be growing pains, or heart burn

Also could be false heart attacks due to stress >.< I get something like that and I'm only 13. Ask a doctor though if you haven't already.

Do you smoke? If you do there could be pain related to that..phluerisy (speeling?) or a respiratory irritation... see the doc...maybe there are some nerve problems in that area.

Some guy_ many heart attacks present with no pain and it doesn't only have to be on the left side...can radiate anywhere in the chest. www.americanheartassociation.com

if your having chest pain at such a young age you may have pleurisy pain. maybe... but whatever the case may be i'd be finding a doc that knows their **** given your age.
