Possibility of breast cancer?

I am a 15, nearly 16 year old girl and my breasts are a size 34E. On my right areola (never the left) there is a constant rash that is sometimes a sore or a crusty inflamed area for about 8 months.

I've been to my doctor about it, for which I was prescribed an eczema cream (which he believes it is.) It worked for about 2 weeks but it hasn't worked since then, it just coming back.

It's extremely sore and can be itchy. I am convinced it's not eczema though because even when I do not itch it it turns into a weeping cut regardless.

My best friend and I were discussing it and she said a friend's friend who was 22 had the exact same symptoms and was diagnosed with Paget's disease of the breast. I have researched this and it is just like my symptoms. Which has worried me, although I am very young for breast cancer. I want to talk to my doctor about it but I'm going with my mum so I'll feel stupid.
I don't know what to do, am i being silly or could I be right?

Please help me!!!

Let your mom know and make an appointment with the gynecologist and have them check this out for you. Be safe, never sorry.

It sounds like more of a skin problem than cancer. It is extremely rare, that someone of your age, to have breast cancer and I have never heard of cancer that exhibit the symptoms you are experiencing. You need to be treated as it sounds like whatever the problem is will not just go away without treatment. There is no need for you to be uncomfortable. Do not feel silly about telling your mother because she will help you. Go to the doctor and have them take a biopsy or swab to identify the skin irritation and begin treatment. Good luck!

Hi, firstly don't panic too much 鈾?br> It does sound like a skin condition.
I have had a breast lump removed in the past and know how frightening the thought of Cancer is, doesn't matter how much someone tells you not to worry, you still do.
I had no outward signs like a skin problem so that is a good thing for you.
Please go back to the doctor and tell him your fears, if you are not satisfied, then try another doctor until you are satisfied that everything is ok.
I am sure all will be fine.
Let us know how you go.

PLEASE.Talk to your Mom immediately. Have her make an appointment for you to see a gynocologist. I don't want to alarm you, but breast cancer can occur in young women. You are never too young. Inflammatory breast cancer can present itself with your symptoms.

Please talk to your Mom. She is your best advocate. And I am sure she has the experience to help you. I pray that you only have a skin condition, but again please don't wait, do it now.

It is important to go to the doctor because you could be right. I'd research it some more and tell your doctor about what you read. If what you read is something else your doctor can explain the differences between Paget's disease and what you are experiencing.
