Skin flaking on BOTH nipples?

I have flaky skin, or some sort of skin condition. I can peel flakes off the pinna of my ear and around the canal. It comes off every two days. My skin on my face is also flaky, but I can't peel anything off.

About 4 months ago I noticed the skin on one of my nipples was peeling badly. The skin would stick up and I could peel the flakes off. I didnt think anytihng of it because the same thing happens to my ears.

I went to the doctor anway to rule of Paget's disease, and she gave me a cream and it seemed to go away. The breast cancer specialist als said (at that time) that due to my age and the fact that I have dry skin, that it may not be cancer.

Now, both my nipples are flaky, and it seems to have spread to the areolas of both as well. I'm not feeling any unsual pain or itchiness besides the usual I;ve had since they started to grow.

I'm a little worried. SHould I be concerned?

edit: I havent showered in 38 hours due to sickness, and my skin has a fast turnover rate

Any thing "different" with your breasts should be checked out. While it is true that if you have dry skin it can be dry anywhere, I personally would not settle for "it may not be cancer" and would demand that it be tested.

"Should you be concerned?" There is no point worrying about things you cannot control so probably not. However it is a good idea to get it checked and then you can definitely stop worrying!

All the best

It sounds like you have flaky skin in many places. I thought that Paget's is usually on one nipple, rarely in both.
Please take a look at a comparison of benign examples and clear examples of paget's disease

its so helpful to see it in colour - notice the tone colour of the paget's bit.
the symptoms can be confused with dermatitis, the only way to really tell i guess is to have a tissue sample taken out for testing. With these pictures however you can help you self-diagnosis.
Notice the unusual "orange peel" wrinkling of the breast.
But I would see a specialist soon for a second opinion.
