I'm 34 yr old male and i have psoriasis and paget's disese of bone.? |
The underlying mechanism in both seem to be increased turnover of cells the first condition in the skin and second one in the bone.Is there any common genetic defect which can predispose to both of the conditions? If so is there any way by gene therapy we can cure both psoriasis and paget's diseases? i have been told that psioiasis is genetically passed down. if someone in your family has or had it there's a good chance you'll get it. i am not familiar with pagets disease though. i dont know what "kind" of psoriasis you have but there is a shampoo that works wonders on scalp psoriasis called "Psoclear". Its not available everywhere but it works better than any other shampoo out there. it even works better than alot of prescription shampoos. they also offer a lotion for skin psoriasis that works well also. IN my many years in medicine, I have seen a lot of psoriasis, but Paget's disease is very rare. I do not think your explanation of the mechanisms of the two diseases hold water. Paget's certainly has bony growth, but not normal growth. |
