PTSD & Anxiety?

I have had Anxiety for about 12yrs. I have done VERY well to manage it but, only 3yrs ago, i discovered, with professional help that i an also suffering from Post traumatic stress disorder. I have been in my relationship for 3yrs but, it hasnt been stable because of my ptsd. Due to my pathetic father & past boyfriends, they made me feel insecure by checking out other women & commenting on their breasts etc. I am female. I didnt need to hear this but my mum always told us it was ok for men to look but dont touch. I hate that. I never realised how damaging my mums, dads & ex bf words were until this relationship. When my boyfriend gets angry or frustrated, he plays on my insecurity by talking about how nice my sister is & how he wonders if she'd go out with him & he has commented on other womens t!ts. I sometimes feel that he is cheI have suffered more because of this. My question is, can i be "cured" by neuro linguistic programming or some other technique you may know of? I am struggling

girl, who told you you have ptsd? you need to ask for your money back. you don't have ptsd. you had just have jerks as men in your life. one, your father, you had no choice in. and others you chose yourself. you need to change your therapy technique, you need to change your boyfriends. i can't believe that your boyfriend can play on your fears by commenting on other women's bodies and breasts and especially using your sister's name and your therapist talks of helping you in how to deal with it. your mother obviously didn't teach you have some selfrespect. well, guess what? you are a grown woman now. you don't need your parents to teach you things. you have enough intelligence to learn it on your own. a guy who finds other women's breasts attractive enough to mention it to you, shouldn't be anywhere in your life. you need to look for men who are decent and know how to act like men, not boys. there's nothing wrong with you except that you keep choosing men that behave like your dad. why do you keep replaying the whole scene from your childhood? you are trying to create a relationshiop that your parents had. do you really want to be like your mom? its up to you to break the cycle. you have no ptsd. you just are not making decisions that independent women make. a man is with you because he finds you attractive and compatible. if he didn't, he would be with your sister or those other women with breasts. the whole point of dating is to find that one person you'd like spend your life wiht. if your boyfriend has other shallow preferences, he should have the right to pursue those women and see if the shape of their breasts solidifies his relationship with him. your boyfriend has his own learning to do but you are not his mommy. set him free. let him learn to be a man on his own and you do your own learning as a woman.

Why not contact your local mental health association and find out of there is a particular kind of therapy you can enlist? Often there are groups devoted to this type of problem, and you might find something new which will work for you. Good luck
