Help with ptsd?

ok im looking for a hotline for ptsd i cant seem to find one is there one and if there isnt why the heck not

Call 411 and ask for the crisis center in your area. It's not specifically for PTSD but there are folks there that understand crises and will talk to you.

If your post-trauma is due to rape or domestic abuse, there should be related services in your area. Contact your county mental health services for info. If you are a vet, contact the VA. If it's something else, you'd be wise to work with a therapist. If you can't afford one, contact county mental health.

As far as I know, there are not PTSD specific hotlines.

I have'nt found any. The Samaritans are available 24 hrs but think it's email only and not specific to ptsd. IM me if you need help now, mysihba, or email mysihba@yahoo .com. Probably not any hotlines cause the nature of it is usually not emidiately critical...unless you are suicidal....or dangerously out of control with flashbacks etc in which case you need an ER now.

Most crises lines will have people trained to deal with PTSD, so look up your local hotline and give it a try. Also, if you want other resouces, try:

http://www.trauma-pages.com/

There's information about PTSD, and all kinds of resouces for healing.
