Anyone with ptsd?

im trying to write about ptsd and if you or someone you know has this please could you share some of your experinces of it or anything related to it with me. that would be so helpful. thanks so much!

my dad has it from a war in the early 90s...he had delusions and was very paranoid..but he was treated by a psychiatrist with Zyprexa and Paxil...for 6 months..after that he was fine..
PTSD can be triggered at any time..so a few months ago something triggered his and he started being delusional, paranoid, and had a panic attack..he was thinking that someone is after him and wanted to kill him..he would always think that people around him were talking in codes and plotting against him..it's horrible..but he was treated again and now his better...it took about 2 weeks to get him back to his normal self..sometimes it's tough to treat people with PTSD b/c they don't think they have a problem..and sometimes they might refuse to take their medication.

not everyone who's been though a same trauma for example: concentration camp gets PTSD...there is usually an underlining illness such as depression for one to develop ptsd.

i was raped at college.

everytime i am on a college-campus setting, i have panic attacks, can't breath, and feel like i am having a heart attack.

that is one example out of many on how my PTSD affects me

Google "PTSD" and you'll get a ton of info...it traumatizes people to talk about their experiences. KJL

i was abused at an early age & was diagnosed with PTSD. its tough to explain, i have a lot of flashbacks & a lot of bad memories that sometimes effects my day to day living. i lost jobs bc i haven't been able to handle my actions to things. the littlest stuff would trigger me. tho, i know what happened to me wasn't fair, it still seems to feel real even to this day. if that explains.tough to say how it feels.

Some therapists use a quite new therapy calld EMDR ON PATIENTS WITH PTSD.

Have a search on he internet particularly Francine Shapiro

YES, I WAS MACHINED GUNNED 2X IN VIETNAM--MAYBE I HAVE A TOUCH OF THAT--E--MAIL ME
