How does having PTSD interfere with my academics? |
I have PTSD and have to go to the Disabled student counselors and tutors on a weekly basis to make sure I pass my classes. What gives?? Am I just weak and just stop going to the counselor? C L- the trauma or stress I experienced lasted till I was 19 until I left home from the United States I would think if you have PTSD you would be at high risk of having problems focusing on your work and being able to concentrate. PTSD can greatly affect all aspects of an otherwise "normal" persons life. You should see a PTSD specialist to get the proper help. You are not weak. You need to continue to go. Maybe they no, do not stop counseling!!! with time and help your disability is treatable and eventually curable. good luck, think positive, give it time. How often do u experience the event that made you a PTSD? It affected my studies like this - i would have to concentrate 100% all the time, i was very intense with myself. It actually helped me get gd grades but i was mega intense etc - not healthy. |
