If someone were to have PTSD and wrongly diagnosed with ADHD...I know this sounds strange, but hear me out?

therefore... the inividual with PTSD was actually taking Adderall due to the diagnosis.... what do you think the chances are that this medication could actually cause the individual to experience the worst of symptoms from the PTSD? I want alot of answers. Thank you.

There are two scenarios. One, that the Adderall, which is an amphetamine, will excaberate your symptoms and heighten your anxiety.

Second, you could have a paradoxical reaction, and the Adderall will calm you down. This, too, happens to some individuals.

If you believe you were wrongly diagnosed, then seek a second opinion.

I am not surprised, shrinks are freaking IDIOTS in a white lab coat. STOP taking the adderall IMMEDIATELY that stuff is deadly. Don't ever trust anything a QUACK SHRINK tells you, they are only in it for the money not the patients well being. It is a common practice among these morons to ignore the hypocratic oath in order to make more money for themselves. THEY ARE ALL PHONIES!!!

Dr's frequently misdiagnose PTSD because its symtoms are similiar to other problems. My best advice is to find another doctor.
