Do you know of the right specialist text on complex PTSD? |
I am doing a specialist study on trauma, with reference to complex PTSD. I believe it is possible to understand the type of event that caused the original trauma from observing the patient's response to subsequent (perceived as threatening) events. For example when PTSD was caused by an event involving being trapped indoors, under some circumstances claustrophobia may result. Please see the webpages for more details on Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The definition of complex PTSD is trauma on a continual basis, not just one incident. So not sure how you can determine how one incident can cause PTSD when complex ptsd is caused by severe repeated trauma, especially during childhood. Report It |
