Heard of PKU??? |
anyone in lower michigan that has PKU or a child with PKU. just wanting to know how you are coping and dealing. any ideas would help..... I have a degree in Ed. with a major in MR. I know, of course, what PKU is, but I live in NC. I found a site that might be of interest to you. You have probably found it yourself, but just in case, here it is: i've heard of it, is it da disease wid da lack of proteins. i kno a gal dat has it up in TORONTO , it reely sux, she has 2 take a lot of medicine everyday, nd drink dat gross 'ensure smoothie" I don't live in Michigan (I'm from Wisconsin) but I do have PKU. I'm not sure what you mean when you ask how I cope, or what you would like me to tell you. I guess for me PKU is just a part of my life. I can't eat meat, dairy, nuts, beans etc, that's how it's always been and how it always will be. |
