Wat kind of foods can i eat if i have pku? |
I have pku. im pregnant and i would like to know wat to eat? Babies are tested for PKU when they are born. Obviously avoid things like diet soda or anything with artificial sweetener. I would advise you to eat a diet heavy on fruit and vegetables, whole grains and relatively little meat. Fast food is, of course, a no-no. I'm not a doctor, so take this with a heaping tablespoon of salt. (Figuratively. Eating salt by the spoonful is generally not a good idea, even when not pregnant.) Anyway, congratulations on your pregnancy. |
