Is PKU found after the age of 15?


it is a mental retardation diesease..

Phenylketonuria is related to a form of a metabolic disorders and it deals with the protein levels in the body system. It is also a rare condition that both parents must be carriers and that is still a 50% chance of having a child born with PKU.
All newborns are tested at birth for this condition (USA for sure) and since my nephew is now 16, then you were tested at birth.
This condition is controllable by a special diet that proves that children born with PKU can and do live a full life with No Mental Defects.
