What else contains phenylalanine?

anything containing gelatine, taurine, aspartame...

these can include anything "diet", energy drinks, alot of lollies (candy), artificial sugars such as equal.

its safest to go for things that do not contain artificial colours and sweeteners.

my son has pku but the list is in his room and he is in bed, and i can let you know the specific details, e.g. where it says on the ingredients "colours 332" etc i can let you know which numbers to avoid.
