Could You Get PID Without Having A Std? Can Anyone Help Me? |
I AM 27 Years Old- I WENT TO THE ER AT A HOSPITAL LAST WEEK( APRIL 28TH) AT 1 IN THE MORNING BECAUSE I HAD BAD PAIN IN MY STOMACH- IVE HAD THIS PAIN FOR 4 MONTHS- THE PAIN IS ON AND OFF ITS NOT CONSTANT- I FINALLY WENT BECAUSE IT HURT SOO BAD- WHILE I WAS THERE THEY GAVE ME A URINE TEST AND BLOOD TEST AND A PELVIC EXAM TO CHECK FOR CHLAMYDIA AND GONORRHEA- BOTH CAME OUT NEGATIVE- (I KNOW I DONT HAVE ANY OF THOSE STDS BECAUSE IVE BEEN WITH ONLY 1 GUY AND HE WAS A VIRGIN- I KNOW FOR A FACT HES HONEST WITH ME)- MY QUESTION IS CAN A WOMAN GET PID WITHOUT HAVING A STD? I WANT TO FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME- THIS IS REALLY WORRYING ME- I AM 27 AND I DONT HAVE ANY KIDS AND IM NOT PREGNANT- BUT I DO WANT TO GET PREGNANT IN A YEAR OR LESS- WHAT COULD THIS BE? You most certainly can get PID without ever having an STD. I'm glad the trip to the ER helped rule out some problems, but it certainly didn't provide you with many answers. i had PID and ive never had an STD. i have crohns disease and the bacteria from my intestines actually infected my tubes and my whole pelvic area.. i was in the hosp for 1 week being pumped full of antibiotics... i was told that my tubes were so scarred i could never get pregnant and if i did i would have to see a dr asap b/c of my higher risk of having an ectopic... well.. i am a mother to a beautiful healthy 9 mth old baby boy.... Request an ultrasound on your pelvic area and if that comes out negative. |
