I WANT TO FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME- THIS IS REALLY WORRYING ME- I AM 27 AND I DONT HAVE ANY KIDS AND IM NOT PREGNANT- BUT I DO WANT TO GET PREGNANT IN A YEAR OR LESS- WHAT COULD THIS BE?
IF ANYONE COULD HELP ME PLEASE ANSWER -THANK YOU

You most certainly can get PID without ever having an STD. I'm glad the trip to the ER helped rule out some problems, but it certainly didn't provide you with many answers.

I recommend you see an OB/gyn for a complete physical, complete blood work up including a test of hormone levels.

I had my first child at 36 and I can tell you this: at 27 you are on the decline in terms of fertility. If you want to get pregnant in the next year you need to see an OB/gyn now. You might need to have tests to determine what is going on in your uterus and ovaries. If there is a problem they can help.

I had serious gut pain and it turns out I have a intramural uterine fibroid that was only visible with an ultrasound. It didn't stop me from having a normal pregnancies, but it does cause pain from time to time. I still have my fibroid and my uterus, and had 3 babies via c-section so it didn't do a thing to my fertility.

Please go see an OB/gyn for a complete physical and complete blood work up. Best of luck to you and take care.

i had PID and ive never had an STD. i have crohns disease and the bacteria from my intestines actually infected my tubes and my whole pelvic area.. i was in the hosp for 1 week being pumped full of antibiotics... i was told that my tubes were so scarred i could never get pregnant and if i did i would have to see a dr asap b/c of my higher risk of having an ectopic... well.. i am a mother to a beautiful healthy 9 mth old baby boy....

also..

Women who douche may have a higher risk of developing PID compared with women who do not douche. Research has shown that douching changes the vaginal flora (organisms that live in the vagina) in harmful ways, and can force bacteria into the upper reproductive organs from the vagina.

Women who have an intrauterine device (IUD) inserted may have a slightly increased risk of PID near the time of insertion compared with women using other contraceptives or no contraceptive at all. However, this risk is greatly reduced if a woman is tested and, if necessary, treated for STDs before an IUD is inserted.

PID occurs when bacteria move upward from a woman's vagina or cervix (opening to the uterus) into her reproductive organs.

Request an ultrasound on your pelvic area and if that comes out negative.

It could be gases.
