How would i have gotten PID?

websites say PID is caused by chlamydia and gohnorrea. how would i have gotten PID if my husband had neither STD and still doesnt? and would it have been passed to my baby?

i was diagnosed with pid in my first month of pregnancy and was put on antibiotics. my husband is completely healthy. i had my baby 2 months ago and i am supposedly cured.

pid is also linked to wearing tampons and douching too much. the doctor that delivered your baby would have caught something like that

How long ago did you have your baby?

PID is caused by a severe pelvic infection. Not necessarily chlamydia or gonorrhea. Though that is most common but not all the time. If you have had a baby recently and got an infection this can cause PID. If you had a tampon stuck inside this can cause PID as well as TSS (toxic shock syndrome).

What are your other symptoms? PID is sometimes misdiagnosed. Sometimes it could be Endometriosis or cysts.

If all else fails I would have your husband checked just to rule things out. Your husband will NOT get PID. He could have Chlamydia or Gonorrhea, but NOT PID.

i was diagnosed with that about 3 years ago... i had pain ect and the dr gave me antibiotic and some steroid pills... the pain went away and i never had another problem with it... i also had wondered how i could have gotten it since my partner and i were clean.... the doctors were very vague so i dont know but i gave birth 16 months ago and had no issues what so ever.... and nothing was said..... so maybe get a secound oppinion?... sometimes diagnoses are giving without much proof to back them up!... doctors are human too!!!!!!
