I had chlamydia for a year and I got it treated and It never turned into PID so am I ok to have kids?

I did not get PID from chlamydia so am i ok? does chlamydia causes tubal scarring or does it only do that when it turns into PID?

That is just something that no one over the net will be able to determine. Since PID did not develop, there is a reasonable chance that there was minimal to no scarring (tubal or otherwise). However, each case must really be evaluated on a patient by patient basis, there may be other factors involved in infertility, not just PID. (e.g. low sperm count) In other words, you will just have to try like everyone else and see what happens. You will need to consult your physician if you are experiencing (in)fertility issues.

How could you have it for a year without treatment? Ouch! Anyways, as always ask a doctor who specializes with this.

I had PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) about 20 years ago. I did NOT have an STD prior to that. Both my husband and I had to be treated, and it cleared up within a few weeks. I, too, was worried that I wouldn't be able to have more kids (i had two at the time). It took a while, but I did get pregnant again but had a miscarriage. I've had two more children in 91 and 93, so I didn't have any scarring.

You should be okay, but speak with your ob/gyn and get checked.
