Can you explain the results of a pet scan?

need explanation of FDG uptake

fluorodeoxyglucose鈥損ositron emission tomography (FDG-PET)
FDG uptake in nonmalignant tissue will help physicians determine the differences, in noncancerous tissues and reduce potential misdiagnoses i.e., recognition of these patterns and an awareness of the overlap between benign and malignant causes of FDG uptake is essential for interpreting physicians to avoid misdiagnosis.
FDG was taken up by benign lesions or tissue and had strong showing on images. The areas included: (1) infectious processes (such as dental abscess, streptococcal pneumonia, and tuberculosis); inflammation or granulomatous processes (such as erosive gastritis, sarcoidosis, gastric tube inflammation); benign tumours and areas of medication adverse effects (including colonic adenoma, uterine leiomyoma); and other miscellaneous areas (including uptake of FDG in the breast tissue of lactating women and endometrial uptake in women during menstruation).

Your doctor is to do that. If your have had a PET Scan you would know this.

But you haven't had one.
