My mom is throwing up blood she had cancer but they have done a PET scan and there is no cancer?

There isn't any testing or imaging method that is 100% accurate. A doctor usually needs to do many different tests and different types of scans in order to be sure whether the patient has cancer or not.

The result of a one test or an imaging scan is not reliable enough for accurate diagnosis.

Of course getting checked out would make sense, correct?

If your mom had chemo/radiation etc the side effects from that could be causing internal damage. Again getting checked would be primary.

Get the doc to biopsy her stomach, just because they didnt see anything on a PET scan doesnt mean it's not there... Best of luck to you! :/
