My dad has been diagnosed with epilepsy but a pet scan showed a large abnormality.this was in feb 2007.?

the abnormality was in the right side of the brain.they cant tell him what kind of tumour it is,what they,re doing about it,absolutely no info.any idea what might be going on.ally_bally_123.

What do you mean they can't tell him about ANY of those things? Please tell me that he's seen the doctor since February? Because no one here can answer those questions. He has an "abnormality" or tumor. He needs to talk to his doctors. If he needs to, he should get another opinion. But they are the only ones who can look at his test results and advise him on what it is and treatment.

whats a pet scan? arnt they cat scans?

sorry if im wrong.

and sorry to hear about yer dad. :[

Not familiar with symptoms of epilepsy or using PET scans to track the activity. There is some information online about it:

You should ask your father about the tumor. It is difficult to tell from your question what is going on. If your father has cancer it seems that he would be in treatment for it right now. Three or four months is a long time. If he isn't in treatment it is time to get him back to a doctor and come up with a diagnosis.

No idea why they're not doing anything but I would definitely get another opinion. When a Dr. gives you no info you need another Dr.My husband had prostate cancer that had spread to the rib and our Oncologist was very informative. He gave us the facts and the choices that we had to fight it.He was an expert and we beat it.
