Pap Smear!!? |
I have been getting a pap smear done every year since I was 17.( I'm 20 now). Does it test for STD's and AIDS or just for cancers and tumors. Just wondering A pap test for abnormal cell growth on the cervix and bacteria growth. You have to specifically request an STD panel and AIDS test. They don't automatically test for these thing. (although they should) It does not test for STD's or Aids. THat is done with a blood test. If you want it done you have to ask for it. It tests for abnormal cells on your cervix--that's it. just checks for abnormal changes in the cells on the cervix you have to ask for the STD's and AIDS.in the other hand have sex with protection, and not with many parthners if little time. You need to tell your doctor to test you for those STDs other wise she wont. She wont do it without Your request .... |
